I am quite capable of playing matches, all you needed to do was message me a single time so we could figure it out. You were the admin of the format, and apparently you care a lot about it, so it’s really the least you could do. Ultimately it’s your responsibility as an admin to be on top of that kind of stuff and there’s really nothing more to it. It has never been an issue for any other admin in any other division of RGL. I don’t know what was going on between both you and daffodil, but clearly there was a failure of communication that can’t be denied.
It’s also quite clear that you don’t care about NR6s, don’t understand the value of it, and don’t align with the spirit of the format. That’s fine, and not uncommon. But going out of your way to try to trash on the upcoming event and format is quite unnecessary. The first season of NR6s was very successful because it was collaborative and inviting to people throughout the community. It focused on positivity and fresh ideas. You took the opposite approach with S2 for some reason, and almost every shortcoming was a direct result of that. Much of the S1 prizes that you’re referencing (that supposedly enticed me to play) were literally provided by me. The bulk of S1 promotion was done by me. I worked closely with sigafoo to design the S1 format. I was here ready to do it all over again for S2, but you opted to throw everything that worked from S1 out the window just because you couldn’t go out of your way to message me. As I said previously, thankfully the staff organizing the upcoming event are much more open to collaboration, and allowing the failures of S2 to guide them towards an improved format. I don’t even know you tbh, yet you’re still holding a fiercely pointless grudge and then exploded into an unhinged rant when the person you should really be blaming is yourself. If you can find it in yourself to own up to your mistakes from S2 and approach it with an open mind, I would encourage you to give it another shot and participate. If not, then ultimately it might be better for everyone that you’ve stepped away from RGL and NR6s after all.

If you’re so capable then why didn’t you do it. Why did you sign up for a league with your entire team and get everyone on the roster just to not play. This isn’t some smash.gg tournament where you can just not show up and get automatically DQd in 10 minutes at game time. (which also fucking sucks and is shitty to do for your opponent btw)
The least I could do? You did nothing. Zero. The least you could do to me right now is fucking apologize for wasting my time as an admin and embarrassing me despite me genuinely pushing for NR6s given the resources I had. I’m not your fucking babysitter b4nny and you shouldn’t treat the admins as one. No other admin in any other division had this problem because all other teams play their matches. They sign up, get their match scheduled, get the site notification for when their match is, and they play it! What’s so hard to grasp for you? Do you need ire or Makka to ask you to play your 6s matches? You haven’t ditched one of those in years.
My conversations with daffodil (my fellow admin who I assign work to because that’s how delegation works) went as followed: “Hello daffodil please play your matches with b4nny.” “Ok we will.” Rinse and repeat around 4-5 times. You can suck me dry if you think not trusting my staff to handle it when they tell me they will is a good idea.
Congrats b4nny, you actually read my post. I’ll say it again, yea I don’t fucking care about NR6s anymore. The first season of NR6s was successful because money was pumped into it. Crazy how once there was no free money to be had for players they all dipped.
A month before S2, sigafoo called me and asked me if I wanted to be the NR6s head admin. I said sure, he gave me the dates of when things needed to be done by, showed me around the head admin panel a bit, slapped me on the back and said good luck. Sig was extremely helpful in my transition to being a head admin, but he never mentioned you. If you were so open to doing it for S2, why didn’t you message me. Fuck messaging me. Why didn’t you message sigafoo. Shouldn’t the most vocal supporter of NR6s be curious at why he wasn’t invited back? Or even when the next season was happening? Nothing. You did jack shit. I was told I had my 4 other staff members and I had to make it work. I sure as fuck didn’t know you were an open resource. Granted, with how you continuously act in the staff discord and mistreat staff, I don’t think I’d want to work with you anyway. Not to mention the infinite feedback loop you and flare created with yourselves during every debate so you could never be wrong.
You don’t know who I am? I climbed the RGL totem pole from a news writer to a head admin of two separate formats. I busted my ass trying to make both NR6s and Highlander the best it could be before school and the community got the better of me. I saw all my volunteering friends bust their asses all the same just for you and others to be passive aggressive with your chevalier “holier than thou” way of speech to put them down. So show some fucking respect to not just me, but all the other staff that volunteer their time to allow you to continue playing comp tf2. The fact that you don’t know me only proves how little you fucking care about rgl staff members. If you don’t know me, then I’d be damned if you could recognize any of the other div admins that aren’t ire or makka. (
Not to mention you also complained about the head of graphics internally for no reason other than to get the person who does graphics and sfm work for you as the new head graphics member of RGL.(I don’t want to see a single person attacking Raos over this, she’s a sweet heart and does extremely awesome things for rgl gfx.))I’d say most of the community involved here agree with me, and you can’t blame tftv upvote circlejerks on this one. This is on your turf now. So sit down, shut up, and show some fucking respect.

Unfortunately it seems you are just infinitely doubling down, shouting louder and louder, and are incapable of acknowledging your missteps as an admin. If you want to successfully lead anything, whether it be a team or a project, you have to be able to withstand the challenges and then also take ownership for the outcome - good or bad. I was a player and advocate for the format. You were the head admin of the league. You had all the power to make the event successful, but didn’t in a few key areas. It happens. The best thing to do is always to reflect and learn from your mistakes. Giving up, throwing a tantrum and deflecting all responsibility is not the way, and certainly no way to earn respect. Your attempt to sabotage the upcoming NR6s event and stir up drama may win the support of your fellow spy main edgelords, but it won’t make you right and it won’t make you better in the long run.
To any onlookers or people interested in NR6s, don’t let one jaded doomer discourage you from signing up and playing. It’s a free 1 day cup on mostly familiar 6s maps, but I can guarantee you that the gameplay you’ll encounter will give you a very fresh and unique new outlook on competitive TF2. In NR6s, the possibilities are basically endless. Looking forward to see what you come up with in-game. See you there.
