Hey looking for a way to put these icons onto my HUD and bypassing the sv_pure problem, is there a way to do that, Because this is more simple to read than the portraits of the characters imo.Screenshot 2023-09-22 154029.png

there is certainly a way to do that
the DL i got for the original class icons only gives the vtf, so in order for it to work you’d have to get the vmts from the tf2 files themselves. you’d have to open tf2_misc_dir.vpk with gcfscape, find the vmts, extract, and then get to pointing them each to /vgui/replay/thumbnails/class_portraits/ or whatever.
i might eventually make that at some point, but won’t be anytime soon
if you wanna do it yourself, you can follow this guide vaguely (mainly focus on vmt and file placement; can ignore models): https://gamebanana.com/tuts/16573
or you can take a look at my invis hands mod for an example: https://gamebanana.com/mods/467431

czarchasm would it still work if I just change them to .vmt then put them in the hud folder and apply them onto the .res files?

no, you’d have to specifically get the vmt files from the game and then change those properties to point to the vtfs that you want. afaik, vmts have specific properties for the vtfs and wont work if those are wrong
