INTJ .

one of us!
what if all the intjs joined forces? that’d be crazy right? -
would not work. would clash, argue, and probably come to nothing good
-
so what we do is hire some unwitting diplomat type and slap them in the middle, problem solved.

I remember taking a few of these over the course of my life. They’ve always been different and I’ve never agreed with their full outcome. Some aspects can resonate but then it’s not always 100%. (IE- sometimes I love being active in a party and other times not so much. I can feel like an extroverted introvert, but then not always and sometimes really just based on nothing at all, additionally, I don’t get stressed out or highly emotional at all but I do like to be independent in my career)
I also dislike these types of personality tests where they ask you the same question 3 different times, when I catch one of these I want to answer it the same way I answered the previous iteration.
Generally, these feel similar to Horoscopes where they want to explain things as positively as possible.

INTJ-A
pretty much what i expected
-
That’s just sorta how the mbti goes. They try to sell you a generalized and idealized image. It’s not going to be all that accurate for some people and you’re going to see a lot of variance. I don’t find that such things take away from the fun of the test.
It’s just not something one would typically want to put all that much faith into. More than anything it can help to explain without really being able to explain in it’s own right. I think there’s still some insight you can find from it in any case.
I’d say the issues come down to how people perceive the results and the expectations they have more than anything else. I don’t think you should necessarily be expecting all that much accuracy when taking an online test in general. Apologies if I’m coming off as passive aggressive on this one.
I do think that in my case intj is pretty accurate, but at the same time that doesn’t entirely define me as a person.
At the end of the day I just want to see what broad trends can be seen when applying the test to the community. I would say that there is more accuracy to it than there is to horoscopes though. -
@Bliztank They’re fun and not fully accurate, which is why I liken it to Horoscopes. People that are super into Horoscopes will find the things that resonate and forget the things that fall off or see it in a similar view of interesting fun.
What’s interesting with Horoscopes in relation to this is that those who take them seriously subscribe to what is generally accepted of those star signs which also feels similar to what is applied here such as what truly makes an INTJ, ENFP, etc.
Of course, I don’t take too much stock into this but I have had to take these multiple times in a more professional setting so just more of a mixed thought on it from that perspective I suppose.
-
@Sylon-DMS I get what you’re saying, but at the same time I think that they have some genuine insight to offer when compared to something such as a horoscope. I feel like some of the insight is lost upon other people due to the perceived inaccuracy of it.
That being said, seeing people who get super into the identity they give themselves as a personality type is pretty funny. -
I got Advocate (INFJ).

I’ve taken this before, and I tend to flip between prospecting and judging. That said, it’s been fairly consistent for most of my life. I tend to be a less than outgoing person (typically find me hiding in my small friend group or not around at all). Like sylon said, the assessment isn’t perfectly accurate because any person will change personalities even from moment to moment with a change of situation. I’m not incredibly extroverted, and generally a pretty quiet person, but you put me in a team scenario where I know what I’m doing, and I’ll almost always step up and be a leader.
