People are all over this thread trying to defend anything racist or sexist as some sort of “lol get thick skin”, “all in good fun and you don’t get the comedy”, or “protect muh free speech to say the n word”.

I have a lot of really fond memories from playing back in the UGC days.

• S10 Silver was an interesting one because it started with a three way early dK vs Karl’s team vs Animal Farm rivalry. Where the former two would end up merging together, and Animal Farm would become 7!, setting the stage for the next season.

• S11 Gold had really fierce matches to determine the top 3, and a really fun dK vs 7! set of match-ups. We ended up winning 1st place in the grand finals vs Cranked Gaming, a straight up full 6s invite team from the time.

• S12 Plat was the first full round robin season with a cash prize pool. This season had extremely experienced teams bringing their A+++ game, full hype, articles, broadcasts, trash talk, etc. It really had it all. I think most people from the time agree that this season had the best competition the league had ever seen.
  We had heartbreaking losses to murderforce and DRS in the playoffs, where both those teams were really strong and outplayed us.

• S13 Plat also had really intense competition, and it was a great opportunity to compete in the top 3. We ended up placing third after a very strong win over ET on upward with 3 seconds left, just to get edged out of the playoffs by mTs reverse sweeping us on viaduct and ET crushing us after.

• S14 Plat started with great top 3 competitors (20b, ET, evil, dK), especially after .knd emerged mid-season as a very strong team and eventually defeated us in a great match on viaduct in the playoffs.

• S16 Plat had a lot of strong teams returning after the summer season, and a variety of move-ups from Gold which ended up being awesome for the division. This was another season where we ended up placing top 3 after a back-to-back gullywash extravaganza where we lost to .knd and mTs two weeks in a row to end the playoffs.

Additional good times:

• #mix.na.hl & #pug.na.hl in the IRC days where Metawe and I held the first and second most played pugs respectively.

• The TeamfortressTV Highlander Invitational (I think that’s what it was called) during S12 which was a great weekend event with full casting coverage and a prize pool.

• Winning NA Plat vs EU Prem showmatches.

My top 3 favorite games:

• S13 Playoffs: dK vs ET on upward
• S11 Playoffs: dK vs 7! on upward & ashville
• S12 Playoffs: dK vs DRS on viaduct (a truly fierce and heartbreaking game)
