What should the comp community do for the update?
-
It didn’t seem possible anything like an update would ever happen. That the entire tf2 community would only get hats and minor bug fixes forever more. That valve comp would remain a rotten and useless bridge between casual and competitive.
What do we want from this update? What is possible and reasonable to ask for? What can we do to make this into the best update it can be?
What do you think? I know I have a lot I want from this and am willing to do for it.
-
I WANT good rebalance changes, a playable and useable valve comp with a reason to play, a #1 Froyo-Fan and #1 witness gaming or G6 enjoyer in game jersey.
What I think is possible: maybe rebalance changes? no idea. a removal of the config restriction and comp rank metals should possible, a cosmetic item should be very possible to make and get into the game.
What I think we can do for this update: a new season or tournament of NR 6s where we find the most broken and overpowered meta for all comps and weapon combos. We can give the devs our data from this to make decisions with, but NO stat suggestions let game devs do their thing. It would show our willingness to meet valve half way with competitive.

Obelix just wish they made valve comp restrict instead of unrestricted, not too much to ask for but it probably is.
-
weapon restricting are straight up impossible, I could see class restrictions thou.
-
Obelix I mean with class restrictions would be nice a lot of people might be turned off when they are introduced to comp and Givin the whole generalists and specialists thing. Not to offend on the idea or anything.
-
Obelix hey uhh so uhh my bad I thought you meant class bans so I feel dumb, lol
-
Obelix weapon restrictions wouldnt rly make sense in in-game comp i agree, but no reason they couldn’t do class limits - even if it was something stupid like 2 of each
-
vorboyvo what would you propose as good class limiting for valve comp?
-
vorboyvo also I meant weapon bans so my bad on that
