Townze Lft Invite Demo S14
-
I’m unsure if I am going to play season 14, but I wanna try
I think Froggie Land might live
I wanted to shoutout everyone who hated on me this season
Really gave me more of a reason to improve
I honestly didn’t even expect to play this season in invite
Four invite teams turned me down to even tryout
I don’t wanna play for a participant medal
I cant promise you anything
I just want to improve -

Stop hating on townze bruh. Players always forget that other players always improve.

Can’t believe I’m giving props on a Townze thread but I think he has gotten more mature this season especially around playoffs, which was his biggest obstacle IMO

From the games I watched I think Townze played a really good season, far from perfect but he was clearly one of the better demos this season.
Most of what I hear about problems with regards to Townze mostly come from his stubbornness and attitude, I’ve never played with him but this is just what I’ve heard. From watching some of his team’s streams at times, I didn’t really hear anything bad, so maybe this is something he’s improved on during the season. Maybe his former teammates this season can vouch for this
If Townze is capable of listening to feedback from his team without shutting it down, he’s easily a player that could fit into any placement level invite team. Non callers simply don’t understand how hard and rare it is to be good at calling as well as playing the game and maintaining your own mechanics. Realistically you get someone who is driven, high level mechanically, can main call, and now has some high level invite experience, seems like a good reason to at least shoot him a tryout to see if he meshes with your team.
With all this said, I will continue to call Townze bad because it’s simply very funny. The Mickey Demo.

Townze is by a good margin the most dedicated TF2 Player I have ever played with in my long experience with this game. he puts in the hours every single day and it shows in his dm and in his improvement this season. In the short span of one season Townze has blossomed into a legit playoffs invite demo (at least) and his understanding of the game continues to grow at a very quick rate. In the event that we part ways this preseason he deserves a solid team with placement in mind, anything else is an injustice to what he’s accomplished and the effort he’s willing to give you. he may say some genuinely hilarious shit unintentionally sometimes but what isn’t a joke is his ability to shine in this game and make a consistent and very real impact in the server.

despite me getting motion sickness everytime camera is on him i think townze really showed up this season
-
I’ve always had a lot of respect for Townze’s desire and drive. Hard work should pay off with results, and he never backed down from a challenge even when faced with adversity. He really showed up this season and I’m glad to see him continuing to work toward that fight. To top it off, he accepted the results of this season with dignity and grace which I hope speaks to his growth
Best of luck, hope to see you around in the future

i love talking to townze
man doesn’t stop -
townze has proven that this season hes able to finally adapt. i saw a huge difference in his level of play between regular season matches and the first and second round of playoffs and i know he can only get better from there. this man is dedicated as fuck and honestly is a good pickup for any placing team in a non-joke season. Lets go townsend!

Pyrrhus less dick riding thx,
I don’t think practicing your dm every day will change a thing if you don’t fix your awful habits, like why would you always sack when the enemy team uses uber and delay the push?
The dm difference between the top invite players and low invite is not that big, the only real difference is game sense and mentality.

Talking to me or?

eXHunter people like hunter who have lived in high invite circlejerks for years don’t know what drive looks like, or how hard it is to shake stigma and improve in spite of people praying for you to fail. don’t let a few immature man-children distract you from the amazing season Townze has had. it’s unfortunate when people win but still wanna trash those who place lower than them but its the reality that we live in. I don’t often step out of my comfort zone and make posts that open myself up to the community like this but Townze deserves all the good rep he’s getting right now.

Townze
as goofy as townze has been both in the past and present his dedication to improving while being a pariah in the community is very respectable, definitely a capable demo on any placement team as long as he keeps his self-awareness in check. -
I can’t help but root for Townze. In a community full of people pretending they hate a game they put 50+ hours a week into, while insisting how much they literally don’t care about a game they spend half of their waking hours playing, there’s something refreshing about a guy like Townze who just wants to be as good as he can be, and who wants their teams to be the best teams they can be. Even at his most frustrating moments that was always true. To see that potential start to manifest, I think it’s great.

still owes me money, improved mechanical skill, personality outside of game… no comment
