  • Imagine scamming an entire region because you don’t understand the difference between a stable amount of high ping and packet loss from bad internet.

  • I think even playing sniper is fine if your ping is high. Getting shot around the wall will happen regardless. The best sniper in RGL has 100 ping and nobody complains when lag compensation favors them. As long as they aren’t teleporting, let them play. There are some NA players who are more annoying to play against because their connections aren’t stable.

If someone is masochistic enough to play projectile from a different continent, let them. Just don’t force people away from Chicago servers lol

  • Make a updated poll with two options keep the old rule or change it to the new one and have it take effect next season.

  • With rule updates, these have normally come out in the monthly articles at the start of the month. For the region rule update, these revisions had been finalized last month but were only officially telegraphed when the monthly article came out. With this particular case, teams were not given enough ample notice of the rule to properly adjust their rosters accordingly before the season start.

As a result, we will be looking to postpone the region cap rule for the upcoming seasons and will look to open up another dialogue with teams and admins about how to approach this rule for the season after. This means that the following rule will stand for Sixes Season 7 and HL Season 10:

Lastly, as a reminder, the decision to revert the rule to the original RGL rule, as well as have the rule match other similar leagues (UGC and RSL), was not reached just due to lag issues. Our full article (https://rgl.gg/?a=1566) lays out in more detail the anti-cheat, enforcement, skill equivalency, and sandbagging issues, that were the reasons for us to review the region rule.

Changing team restrictions or registration rules near the start of the season is not fair and not something we are looking to repeat. Going forward any decision that affects teams like this, though rare, we will make sure to provide ample time and clear communication in articles and on the registration to help avoid the miscommunication and provide time for feedback in the future.

So to be exact, if 2 of our players surpass 150ms they abide by the Region rule and are ok to play? While counting that players in a team that (regardless of region) have less than 150ms do not abide by this rule?

TL;DR: Peruvians & Colombians count as North American players because of <150ms latency?

It is fine, a full reversion is not what we’re aiming for here. Only an allowance to revert a rule change that killed our teams for Season 7.

I’m glad you guys understand our frustration and reasons behind this entire situation. Things can happen and can go wrong, but with discussion and chatting they can come to a resolve.

The rule is the same as it was when it was introduced earlier this year. As long as the players rostered abide by these restrictions, then they are allowed to play.

Alright! Sounds good to me. Thank you so much for taking the time needed to review the entire case and read through all we talked about on the subject.

If the rule that was imposed at the start of the year is now back, there is nothing else to discuss.

    |-All I’m asking for now is for Administrators to review the teams that were placed on the DeadTeams division, so we can get into our respective divisions and start playing on the 20th.-|

Again, thank you so much for listening and offering us a solution!

  • @puntero No problem. Thanks for having a civil discussion about it as well.

Thank you as well for being civil and understanding about everything.
I look forward to stay on RGL and help on any way possible in the future.
I can officially close this thread now. Thank you so much again for the help give, we South Americans are really flattered and happy about this!
