PL Vigil
-
Vigil is a 4-point payload designed for competitive and pub play. It is a map where aggressive play is encouraged on both BLU and RED. It’s often a fast-paced map, with focuses on allowing all classes to be able to contribute to their team’s push or hold. Due to the fast-paced nature of it, transitions are highly important, and getting a good hold on any of the points can make the difference between winning and losing. Also there are ducks on the map. And the ducks randomise at the start of each round.

Is a great, fast paced Payload map where 6 minute cap times are considered normal.

Don’t know if I should post here, just necro’d the post on the old forums:
Was Goofing around on a local server today and found two Wallbugs

As far as I can tell, this is the only place you can stand on the lights and move freely, but it is probably possible to stand on other parts if you are just right.

Using any class that can propel themselves up, you can wallbug above the fence. If you are in a good spot, you might be able to hide from some oblivious players.

A friend of mine found this, earlier this evening.
There are probably other spots on the map that are exploitable, but I am not smart enough to find them. If you want to hear a bad amateur’s feedback on the map - I love it!

One of my favorite PL maps ever, it’s a major inspiration for me. Thanks a bunch for your great work!!
-
@minty you should provide some more info for that kind of stuff so @theatreTECHIE can fix it. He cant fix stuff no one tells him about.

That first screenshot looks like 5CP croissant. Brought back some memories of oblivious teammates at rollout.

Mothership do i look like voyager to you

@theatreTECHIE said in PL Vigil:
@leif the links appear to be private, as it just directs me to the steam workshop homepage.
My apologies. Indigo posted the spot I found on last already, but here it is.
This was the other
It is unclear just by looking at the shot, but I will reiterate, it is on first, just above where the flank house meets the cliff.

I think some of these mentioned in the thread I have patched in the vmf, although I’m wanting to make a few more changes to last before I release, and other places are not really patchable by me, as it’s the non-orthogonal geometry that cases them to exist. I’ll have a closer look at each when I am closer to releasing the next version of Vigil.

Not a fan of the map. Too Small. It’s very clearly designed for 6s PL and doesn’t work with 9.
-
@LegendaryRQA What.
-
@LegendaryRQA weird that you think it doesn’t work in highlander, when it’s been played for multiple seasons in the format. what hard drugs are you on bruh.
-
@firepow They’re entitled to their opinion.
Badwater and gullywash were also played in HL. So saying that it’s played as justification for it being good/working is not really logical.
I personally like Vigil a lot. A shorter PL map is greatly appreciated in my eyes.

@Timeless since when, it’s been years when those maps were in the map rotation.

@theatreTECHIE Think its been around for a while now, not sure if its something that you see with worse graphics/configs (of which I don’t have)
