in addition to the above, I should say, in a more on-topic vain than above, adding people to the team specifically because of their good reputation, connections, ect has been something we’ve considered in the past, but not something that’s gone far in practice. In case you guys didnt want to read allthat, i’ll put the final paragraph here for easy reading:

Final thoughts, and to get off the tangent train and back on track with your initial comments to me, it’s true that PUG runners will be more or less obsolete under the pug site framework. While there are some wacky ideas I can’t talk about because they go over my head, I can say that because the pug site presents a fundamental paradigm shift in the needs of the pug team some changes in roles and responsibilities will be conducive to keeping the ship running. We have not decided what exactly those changes will look like, I’m interested in the idea of having staff specifically dedicated to community outreach, and am interested in hearing proposals from any takers as to what exactly that could look like. Keep in mind that because these pugs are open to everyone in order to facilitate new player involvement any plan to have community outreach/representation will have to allow for reps from both sides of the skill and experience perspectives. I will say, while I’m not a fan of the status quo if it’s not the best current solution, I don’t have final say over absolutely everything that goes on in RGL pugs, please don’t decide for yourself a certain way of doing things is the only way of doing things, you’ll be setting yourself up for disappointment.

Requeueing now persists through updates, so you should be needing to queue as classes individually less often (if at all) Team voice chats now self-destruct after a couple minutes instead of immediately Players that play pugs and win at least one round of HL or 6s (captained or uncaptained) since September 18th are automatically entered into an exciting raffle for an upcoming RGL project currently called ‘100 Fish’. Hey Everyone!

I wanted to announce the very early alpha of canyon.tf.

This site is mostly going to be used to help streamers and leagues engage with their communities.
Currently, its main focus is the upcoming EU vs. NA Highlander match,
After a simple Steam login, you are able to vote for the class matchups and predict the performances for the direct class matchups (pyro vs. pyro, pocket scout vs. pocket scout)

At the end of the match, we will use the equations as the result of millions of logs to rate the actual performance differences between matchups.

I am excited for this project to grow and become something that is used to support casts as well as something fun for the community to interact with.

hi the demo update trolled me and then i got a new pc and now im working 2 jobs and going to school so i am a little busy. project progress will be slower but i still intend on finishing

Team Fortress 2 is once again back at Insomnia Gaming Festival, featuring some of the best teams from around the world competing for their chance at a £3000 prize pool! The event takes place from Friday, September 8th, to Sunday, September 10th. EssentialsTF will be streaming three days of content hosted live at the NEC in Birmingham, UK!

Fall Staff Departures

virgil, Scream, heks, and Fleskore have stepped down from their positions on the 6s Staff team. camp3r will be inactive until further notice to focus on real life responsibilities.

Constantly and asian will be stepping down from their positions on the HL Staff team.

Staff lists for both HL and 6s are still being finalized and will be announced in a future article.

Global Rule Updates

[1006.2.5] - Sandbagging and Class Restrictions has been updated to specify the new maximum capacity of class-restricted players for both 6s and HL (previously 6 in HL and 4 in 6s). In 6s, sniper now counts to this total limit.

[1008.8] - Score Submission has been updated to clarify the responsibility of posting the match log and results fall on the team providing the match server.

[1009.4.3] - Default Ringers has been updated to clarify that players remain eligible to default ring in a division that they were in as long as they do not roster on a team in a higher division.

[1008.9] - Pauses has been updated to clarify that using the “repause” command does not count towards the number of pauses initiated in a half. An additional clarification has been added to clarify that either team can unpause, but the other team must be notified before the unpause.

[1006.1] - Team Names, Tags, and Avatar has been updated to specify that team names, tags, or avatars must receive explicit approval from an established company or brand regardless of whether they operate in the TF2 scene.

[3001.7] - Forfeits and Penalties has been updated to specify that either team has the option of rescheduling a forfeited match before the end of the regular non-Invite Season.

[1004.11.1] - Offseason Bans has been updated to specify that players with offseason bans cannot participate in qualifiers of any format.

[3001.8] - Pauses has been updated to clarify that teams are allowed two pauses per map for both Control Point and King of the Hill in 6s.

[1008.7.1] - Match Forfeits has been rewritten to clarify how match forfeits work in formats using match points and win/loss. Additional clarifications have been added to specify the process if a rescheduled date/time cannot be agreed upon before the end of the regular season deadline.

An update to Team Fortress 2 has been released. The update will be applied automatically when you restart Team Fortress 2. The major changes include:

Fixed a client crash related to the dispenser and the recent addition of -unrestricted_maxplayers

Fixed the floor particles for the Pastel Trance Unusual taunt effect sometimes drawing full white

Fixed SourceTV not recording in-game chat for Mann vs. Machine defenders
