Maps will be announced during the week before Beyond The Limit begins with a map revealed each day from October 17th.

This article will be to go over the prize pool earnings for RGL Sixes Season 9, as well as all the finances that went into the first-ever hosted RGL LAN.
Season 9 - Prize Pool Distribution
RGL LANInvite Support
For RGL LAN, we asked all four Invite teams for estimated pre-LAN total expenses and actual post-LAN total expenses to calculate the pre-Lan net and total net. The fundraiser and Draft Cup revenue was split by four and evenly distributed to the teams. These additional funds allowed the three of the four Invite teams to at least not only break even but turn a profit. It should be noted that “Like A G6” exceeded their estimated pre-LAN total costs by $1,770 due to arriving an extra day earlier than the rest of the teams.LAN Prize Pool Breakdown
Payouts for the top 4 playoff Invite teams have been adjusted for this LAN season to help cover the team’s expenses to attend LAN.LAN Finances
For the RGL LAN 2022 Financial Report, we have included the total balance, revenue, costs, fundraiser, and draft cup funds for each of the impacted departments (production, Invite teams, venue, merch, admin, and designers) in RGL. To view the finances broken down into specific sections and departments, you can view this here.
It should be noted that Helix eSports honored the rental price of the 2020 LAN location in New Jersey, despite RGL using the Massachusetts location for the 2022 LAN. The Massachusetts venue without this discount would have been more expensive, and as such the discount allowed RGL to have a better deal.
b4 has arrived to save our souls

Week 3: pl_vigil_rc9
Week 4: koth_proot_b3b

Week 7: cp_steel_f10Introducing King of the Hill Proot!
Following the recently concluded Experimental Cup #5, we released a survey to have you, our community, help decide what maps to include into Season 13! Following the results posted here, koth_proot was the most well-received out of all maps played during the cup. As such, we will be including it into the Season 13 map pool. Keep in mind that the map maker has been hard at work using everyone’s thoughtful feedback from the survey to make improvements to the map! So a new version may be released before the season begins. There is also another map we are interested in including, but have decided to sit it out this Autumn so the mapper can make some adjustments to make it even better! Stay tuned for an exciting Season 14!Map Version Updates
For Season 13 we will also use the newest refresh versions of pl_upward and cp_steel. Downloads for both maps are linked above. The changelog for pl_upward_f10 can be found here. For cp_steel_f11, the changelog is posted here.Regarding Survey Results
We value the feedback of our players tremendously. The answers to each question let us know where to go in future seasons to best serve our players’ interests. For the multiple choice questions asking for feedback on divisions and their admins, I have shared the results with the respective division admins to improve our overall quality throughout each division. For the questions asking for written answers, I have made sure to read each and every response I received, whether it was serious or goofy, short or long. I would like to address some of the more common concerns in a future article but, for now, here are the results of the survey.Match Points vs Rounds Won vs Pure Wins
This last survey we wanted to see everyone’s thoughts on how team should be ranked as a primary and secondary choice. Based on these results, players are interested in primarily using the Match Points with Pure Wins being the second most popular choice. As such, we will continue to rank teams based on Match Points.Advanced Round-Robin Question
A large majority of Main through Invite players in review are interested in Advanced being round-robin. As such, we will continue this structure going forward. Main and Invite are inquired due to their divisions directly being impacted by the chosen structure.General Division Results

imageExperimental Cup Survey Results
Here are the survey results from the recent event. We’re very excited to present these results! Thank you to everyone who participated and filled out the survey. We had 60 teams sign up. Without further ado, here are the results.
These results were very interesting as every map in the cup had over a 50% enjoyment rating. Both Ramjam and Eruption sat at an enjoyment rating of 51%. Meanwhile, Proot was at a staggering 80% enjoyment rating.
The large majority of players enjoy the current structure of six matches while playing each map twice during the cup. We will look into possibly doing this sort of structure for cups in the future! Keep in mind that this also causes an increased workload to our staff, which may result in less frequent cups overall.
The Real Spreadsheet.
If you disagree with the rankings, they are open to criticism.
Joey Lemons has stepped down from their position on the HL admin team.
We would like to thank them for their work and time spent volunteering and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors. As a result of these staff changes, we are looking for mature, driven individuals who can help us continue to deliver a great platform to ever greater players.

hl pugs are pretty awful and nobody really cares about playing them & winning, but i still want to play some good hl. i’m wondering if people would be interested in playing a non-rgl-affiliated match during one day per week.
this idea is this: one day during the week, teams will fight another team of their skill level in a playoff-style match with pick/bans (maps currently in the hl map pool). this system creates a wonderful opportunity for substitute players and up-and-comers to play some decent hl and perhaps get their names out into the public eye. if all goes well, one day of nice, serious games in a low-commitment environment will help people get better at things you can’t really do in pugs (coordination, attempting new team strats, practicing (main)calling, etc.).
this group would highly encourage you fill up your weekly team with whoever you can and have a fun time playing the game & sweating.

After a month and a half of counting, sorting, and organizing, the folks at TF2Maps are ready to show off the best of this year’s 72hr TF2Jam! This is their biggest showcase yet at 140 entries!
This year’s event received 908 entries, shattering last year’s total of 345 and the previous all-time record of 742 set in 2017! The previous donation record (around $10,000 in donations from 1122 different donors) was also shattered by raising a total of $17,916.40 from 1616 different donors! The money was donated to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), an international, independent organization that provides medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, and more. Way to go, TF2 Community!
