hi, i like playing soldier. not sure if i want to main or sub, but i am interested in seeing options.

i work a full time job that requires me to go on-call sometimes and it is possible that i could be paged for work during a scrim/match, but it hasn’t happened yet and i can usually say ahead of time.

mid-may i am moving across the country so i can’t play during this time.

total soldier experience:
washed penguins - advanced s6 (4-3)
the dojo - advanced s7 (9-0)
the dojo - invite s8 (0-7)

if you need to use words of hate to get out of dealing with some uncomfortable video game pixels, i recommend finding a new way to grow as a person and don’t come back.

i’m not the most experienced player ever, but i think i do okay. 2 seasons of soldier, won advanced 9-0. also many seasons of spy experience.

better players always helped me improve, so i’d like to help you improve if you think i can. add me on steam.

Perhaps I’m in the minority but I don’t think cleaver is by any means “oppressively degenerate” so much as “annoying at best.” Certainly unlucky when I peek an angle and get hit by a cleaver, but it doesn’t define Scout gameplay; it basically just gives him something to do during downtime.

It also has a somewhat interesting interaction with the Scattergun in which since it can’t fill the same role as the pistol for spam clean up, it means your Scattergun shots have to be more accurate to clean up.

Degeneracy by itself is not a good measure for banning because it doesn’t say anything about how good the degeneracy is. Sniper’s piss rifle is degenerate but not oppressive.

Cleaver is maybe degenerate but doesn’t degrade the skill of Scout by itself. Scattergun is still the defining weapon for Scout and it still requires a lot of skill. Cleaver is also (imo) not oppressive.

Scorch shot is degenerate, oppressive (forces enemy Sniper to use darwin’s), and degrades Pyro’s skill (shotgun and other flare weapons definitely require more skill).

Just my thoughts.

@firepow all of the 2020 records from them are pretty good, though sadly not any of their bests. going to try to catch idles live next time they tour after covid shit.

wile is very annoying to peek and it is annoying when he farms my teammates (and me).
very nice person.
he’s on a quest.

one of the only spies in the game who does not complain or whine.
the best player on the dojo s8, easy invite placement level spy.

cutimus is a very reliable player and he was actually the biggest reason i initially played on the dojo.
he’s always responsive to my feedback and is humbled enough to seek out feedback from players with more experience.
he definitely deserves a good home to grow and meet his potential.

Is holding ppl accountable really treating them “like babies”? How is this any different from your workplace or school or social relationships taking a stance on the things that you say?

I don’t think the point is to get RGL to delete racism forever. Racist people will always exist. Anti-LGBT people will always exist. The point is if you can determine for sure that someone is being bigoted outside of official RGL-regulated services, why would you keep that person in the community? This is a pretty normal expectation in FGC communities and other game communities.
