took a break last season, played like 4 or 5 seasons of advanced/invite before that and I’m in the mood for “team fortress 2” once again

1. old forums were for highlander only, these forums are intended to include 6s and PL as well (just acting as a central hub for discussion about competitive more or less)
2. old forums ran on ridiculously old software, these are newer, more resilient and way easier to use (esp. with regards to admin tooling)
3. new forums are way cleaner overall, a lot more features that will make stuff easier, and because the forums are trying to grow in scope they’ll help a lot

and like markers said yeah it’s nice to have something more modern if we care about growing the scene

the issue at hand here has literally nothing to do with free speech. imo there’s just no reason to moderate/make decisions based on private discussions because
a) logistically, there’s going to be a lot of shit to sift through
b) there’s going to be a lot of shit to sift through because this is ultimately a culture problem within the TF2 community, partly propelled by a relatively small amount of problem users

there should literally be no argument about free speech here. you do not have a human right to participate in a TF2 league. being barred from the league does not “silence your free speech” it just means you have to go elsewhere to voice it. Jesus Christ

@Papaya contrary to popular belief RGL is not a totalitarian Orwellian 1984 police state government. it’s a tf2 league
